answering machine article

Sarah Haas (Japan) here,

For IIC, I'm doing a project on messages left on answering machines.   I'm wondering if anyone has come across textbooks that have in them anything dealing with answering machines...either teaching students how to leave a message, or listening exercises where students listen to messages.

Or any leads on articles related to answering machine messages- I've only been able to find two, and they are about 8 years old.
