map or iic?

I am undecided whether to choose the MAP or IIC module. Does anyone have any particular recommendations? Please answer off-list if you prefer.

I think MAP is a great one to do very late in the sequence, because you can input a whole lot of linguistic and pedagogical information from early modules.
The assumption will be that you design materials from a strong linguistic foundation. I did IIC very late, but I would recommend doing it sooner because it has some invaluable introductory materials on qualitative research, questionnaire writing techniques, etc.

Hi Mike,
I'm currently attempting to write an IIC assignment. The file is very big to work through so be warned!!
I've done FND, MET and now IIC and plan to do MAP later on. I agree with Raymond re IIC being useful for other areas. Good luck.

Mike,
I have done both modules and agree with Raymond that IIC should be done earlier as it is useful for all assignments due to it's focus on qualitative research (I'm doing it as my last module much to my regret).
