Update from BBC Radio 4 | Paul Raper | November 14, 2004

I am forwarding this on to the group since I am sure that it will be useful to someone. I am very enthusiastic about the idea since it offers the chance to get hold of some live broadcast material for use in classes and also potentially for research purposes. I have responded to the BBC's request for feed back on the experiment by way of request for a transcript to also be made available with the recording.

If you like the idea too, why not respond in a similar fashion.

Paul

Hello fellow listeners,

We're taking another step in our onward technological march this week with a trial of MP3 downloads for In Our Time. Each programme will be available for downloading soon after broadcast for seven days after transmission. This means you can, for example, take the programme around with you on a portable MP3 player. We had great success earlier this year with MP3 downloads of the Reith Lectures, so we're keen to get your reactions to this new initiative.
