citing references with unknown author or date

How to cite the LSU website? | Jerry Talandis Jr. | June 13th, 2004

Hello CPers,

This is Jerry. I'm working on my IIC assignment at the moment (the clock is ticking faster and faster), and I would like to quote a part of the LSU website. Does anyone know how to go about citing this? First of all, I don't know who wrote the quote I need to include, nor do I know when it was written. Is it enough to just say, "According to the LSU website..."? Or should I put the URL in brackets next to the quote? Or, should I put the URL in the reference section? Does anyone have any ideas about how to cite a reference when you don't know the author or publish date?

Thanks,

Jerry

Jerry,

At least put LSU website in the Bibliography as below:

LSU website. HML. Read xx/xx/2004

Hey Jerry,

Thought I'd reply to the list in case others might find this of interest.

Follow this link and you should find answers about how to cite online sources.

Thanks Dominic and Gerry,

Very helpful advice. That website should be bookmarked by everyone. Great resource.
