The messages contained in this archive have been edited slightly to enhance readability. Minor spelling and grammar errors have been corrected, and discussions containing multiple interwoven topics have often been untangled, with each branch posted separately.
If, for research purposes, you'd like to obtain the original data in an unedited state, you can do so by contacting me directly so I can email you what you need. I have all of it compiled in monthly blocks in both .doc or .pdf formats. Click here to see a sample of what unedited DL messages look like.
Alternatively, you can download the original data yourself from the Majordomo server. Instructions on how to do that can be found below.

How to download original DL messages:
Step 1: You need to get a full list of all the archive files
(in order to retrieve specific ones):
a. Send an email to: majordomo@aston.ac.uk
b. In the text area, write: index tesptesolmsc
Step 2: To retrieve month-groups of archived messages
a. As above, send an email instruction to majordomo@aston.ac.uk
b. Specify which month of messages you want. For example, in the text area write: get tesptesolmsc tesptesolmsc.archive.0203
The four digit number at the end is the year (YY) and the month (MM). So, "get tesptesolmsc tesptesolmsc.archive.0203" will get you the archive for the month of March, 2002.
